Through series of articles under the headline of We-Have-No-Money-To-Raise-Money, we followed the challenges of our heroin, Nicole, and how she applied Change Management to overcome these challenges and build an internal coalition with her board to effectively secure funding to aid educated refugees in Europe.
To complete her strategic approach to fundraising, Nicole has adopted SDG#17-Partnership, as her personal and professional goal through which she strives for building coalition and partnership with other NGOs who are working in the same field. She strongly believes that through partnership with other organizations, they can build up on each others’ achievements, grow further and hence have higher impact.
Despite the myth of “there is not enough money”, successful coalitions such as TeamUp have already proven that together we can achieve more and empower each other rather than compete with each other. By building coalitions and partnerships, Nicole aims at cultivating a culture of sharing through which we can empower each other, Sharing is Power!
Donors have also recognized the importance of sharing resources and building coalitions, hence, more and more donors only support consortium for their calls for proposal. At Your Funding Network, I also strive for bringing together not only the donors and CSOs but also CSOs who work in the same field. Your Funding Network believes in (conceptual) innovation and social impact through sharing.
